Department of Urban construction - graduating department with a degree in "Urban construction and economy". The annual graduation of bachelors in all forms of training is about 150 people; graduation of masters about - 50 people. Master's theses and degree projects are developed on the most relevant topics for urban development:
• Planning, development and reconstruction of the historical center, residential and industrial areas, a network of city streets and roads, parks, public gardens.
• Methods for solving transport problems in large cities, provided that the historical environment is preserved;
• Housing stock maintenance, including in housing co-owners societies
• Formation and development of recreational areas of the city.
    Every year, students participate and win scientificand professional competitions, make presentations at scientific and practical conferences. Students have the opportunity to study exchange at universities in Slovakia, Poland, Portugal etc.
   Experienced teachers work at the department, including Doctor of Science and Ph.D. with many years of experience. The department successfully cooperates with the International Assembly of Capitals and Major Cities, the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Kharkiv City Council, LLC Institute Kharkovproject and others.

   OLEKSANDR ZAVALNY - Head of the Department, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Honored Teacher of the University, member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science in the specialty "Urban Construction and Economy". Associate Professor O.Zavalny was awarded with certificates of honor by the Kharkiv Regional Administration, and the Ministry of Regional Development of Construction of Ukraine.

   Scientific Research:
Associate Professor O.Zavalny was a co-author of the development of a comprehensive scheme of all types of urban transport in Kharkiv (1990), a participant of creative teams for the development of Concepts (systemic development of Kharkiv, 2004; Sustainable and strategic development of Kharkiv 2008, 2010, 2014).

co-authored textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science. "Urbanism" (2005, 2014), "City Planning and Transport" (2008), "City Planning and Improvement" (2013).

  IRYNA LINNYK - Doctor of Sciences, Professor of the Department, Deputy Chairman of Special Council D  64.089.03 in the specialty 05.01.04 - Ergonomics and 05.22.01 - Transportation Systems.

  Scientific researches:
devoted to the issues of forecasting the evolution of ergonomic systems, systematic optimization of elements of roads and streets with ecological, ergonomic and technical and economic criteria. Participated in the development of scientific projects: Complex transportation scheme of Kharkiv (1990), programs for development and reform of housing and communal services in Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Slavyansk, Chuguev and others (2003-2010), Development strategy Chuguev as part of the Kharkov agglomeration (2013).

   OLEKSANDR NIZHNIK –Doctor of Sciences, professor
   In 2002 he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University with a master's degree in Civil Engineering.
   In 2006, was awarded the degree of PhD in the specialty "Building Structures, Buildings and Structures" (Thesis: "Compressed elements of steel composite double-tears with side cavities filled with concrete").
Since 2013 - Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty "Building Structures, Buildings and Structures" (Thesis "Beamless and often ribbed steel-reinforced concrete floors").
Over 130 scientific papers have been published, including 7 monographs, 2 study guides, and 32 patents of Ukraine for a utility model have been received.

   TETIANA RYSHCHENKO - PhD, professor, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Arts 
    In 1987 she graduated from Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Organic Chemistry.
   He has been working at the University since 1991. In 2001 she defended her PhD thesis, author of more than 30 scientific and methodological works. Experience of scientific-pedagogical activity more than 20 years.
   From 2002 to 2007 she worked as the Deputy Dean of the City Planning Faculty, from May 2007 to February 2011 - the Deputy Head of the Main Department of Education and Science of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

    OLENA BEZLIUBCHENKO - PhD, associate professor of the department

   Scientific research: takes an active part in the research work of the department. The area of ​​scientific interests is the efficient use of urban areas. She took part in the development of scientific projects: allocation, composition, use of local territories; management of the territory of the private sector of the Oktyabrsky district of Kharkov (pilot project); development strategy of the city of Chuguev as part of the Kharkov agglomeration2013), a plan for the socio-economic development of the unified Starosalta Territorial Community by 2019.

   Main works:
Co-authorship published a textbook with the title MES "Urbanism" (2015), "Planning and Urban Improvement" (2013), "City Planning and Transport" (2008), monograph "Practice of innovative development in the field of the territorial and spatial development of cities and regions" (2016).   ГАЙКО ЮРІЙ ІВАНОВИЧ – кандидат технічних наук, доцент, член-кореспондент Міжнародної академії наук екології та безпеки життєдіяльності.

 Наукові дослідження присвячені вирішенню проблем ефективного використання територіальних ресурсів міст, реновації промислової забудови, відновленню порушених територій для містобудування, екологічним проблемам міського середовища.

  Основні праці. Доцент Гайко Ю.І. є автором і соавтором підручника «Проектування міських територій (частина 1)» (2018 р.), 2-х монографій: «Практика інноваційних розробок у сфері територіально-просторового розвитку міст і регіонів» (2016 р.) і «Проблеми та перспективи розвитку житлової забудови в умовах комплексної реконструкції міста» (2019 р.), більше 90-та друкованих статей, 2-х навчально-методичних посібників з грифом Міністерства освіти і науки України, 22-х методичних вказівок для студентів, активним учасником всеукраїнських та міжнародних науково-практичних конференцій з проблем будівництва, архітектури та містобудування.

   ПАНКЕЄВА Анна Миколаївна – старший викладач кафедри міського будівництва.

 У 2006 р. Панкеєва А.М. закінчила ХНАМГ зі спеціальності «Міське будівництво та господарство». Із 2006 по 2011 рр. обіймала посаду інженера-проектувальника відділу територіальних робіт у ПАТ «ХАРКІВСЬКИЙ НАУКОВО-ДОСЛІДНИЙ ІНСТИТУТ «ПРОМБУДНДІПРОЕКТ». З 2012 р. – працює на кафедрі міського будівництва.

  Наукові дослідження: приймає активну участь у науково-дослідній роботі кафедри. Приймала участь у розробці наукових проектів: енергореновація будівель соціального призначення; концепція стратегії розвитку м. Чугуєва як структурної частини Харківської агломерації до 2020 року; просторове планування крупних міст та регіонів; проект «Внесення змін до генерального плану міста Харкова», розділ «Модель перспективного розвитку м. Харкова».

  Основні праці: за результатами наукових розробок Панкеєва А.М. щорічно видає статті в наукових журналах, бере участь в міжнародних конференціях.
