Abstract. Owing to the difficult situation in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale invasion and aggression by the Russian Federation, there is an urgent problem with the solution to issues of the post-war reconstruction of our country accordingly to the experience of the countries in the European Union. Reconstruction that will be occurred in the post-war period by rebuilding, will be based on the experience of EC countries and will be allowed to ensure a comfortable safe environment for living and life activities of the population. Projects of post-war reconstruction can become one of the pilot educational projects within the framework of integrated development in accordance with European principles and values. Due to the post–war rebuilding in Ukraine, several cities will be created several cities virtually from scratch. Importantly, this rebuilding should be weighed and will be based on the experience of the EU countries, new approaches in architecture, and urbanism, in order to make Ukrainian cities more convenient and inclusive for their residents. As well as in order to move to Europe, we would need to keep on researching the reforms that are being provided as part of urban regeneration and the European certification system would be introduced in Ukraine. Surely, it needs to take into account the renovation of buildings since this is one of the components of sustainable development in the world and is the basis in European countries during any reconstruction.
Specific goals of the project is creating teaching content for students of bachelor’s and master’s degree about a comprehensive and consistent approach, huge experience, the legislative framework of the EU countries on the post-war reconstruction and sustainable development of cities (lectures, seminars, presentations, guidelines, etc.); an optional distance course based on the Moodle platform with free access for students of Ukrainian universities and other interested people.
The main tasks of the project are:
- Creation of educational content for students about methods and events in post-war rebuilding cities in countries EU (lectures, presentations, guides etc).
- Creation of Certificate program “Post-war rebuilding cities in Ukraine accordingly to the experience of EU countries” for students of other specialties, as on-line optional module for politicians and other persons that is especially important for people with disabilities - people with limited mobility, and people who have moved from the temporarily occupied territories.
- Events for promoting interest in the laws, regulations and programs of the European Union in the field of reconstruction, renovation, and energy effective of urban areas, residential and public buildings, and structures, as a result, use of European experience in post-war reconstruction will be allowed Ukraine to quickly integrate into the European community.
- Creation of an inter-university network in EU New Approach to rebuilding of destroyed territories and buildings during hostilities (three primary universities in Ukraine about specialty “Building and Civil Engineering” study program “Urban Construction and Economy”)
The main results are teaching materials such as work programme of the academic discipline, lectures, seminars, presentations, guidelines, website, science publications, banners, postcards, promotional brochures, audio-visual media and products, Facebook, YouTube etc.
